Flat where others are round.
Every Tanick pole is built on a flat, rectangular shaft instead of a round one.
It sits differently in the hand and it plants differently in the snow. The shaft is the same section from grip to basket, with no taper, so the pole behaves the same wherever you hold it.
Every pole is built on one core: a hollow carbon composite shaft measuring 29 by 19 mm with a 1.6 mm wall, a cork and rubber grip, and a carbide steel tip. Between 110 and 130 cm, nothing changes but the length.
What does change is how it looks. Pick the accent, the grip and the basket, or take a country edition where the flag runs the full length of the block. Every pole is drawn to true scale before it is made — the technical drawing further down this page is that drawing, not an illustration of it.
